CRF250R

|
A pure, race-bred heir to the many riches of the all-conquering CRF450R,
the CRF250R is a commanding presence on Supercross and Motocross racetracks
all around the world.
Benefiting directly from its big brother’s technologies and componentry,
it’s renowned for its fast-revving and powerful 4-stroke engine
and unique dual silencer exhaust system. This year it’s rearing
to race again with even lighter weight (around 100g), smoother power,
new razor-sharp styling and easier handling.
The impressive acceleration delivered by the CRF250R’s high-revving
liquid-cooled 4-valve Unicam powerhouse is now smoother, with enhanced
low to mid-range torque feel and effortless gear changes. The lightweight
and rugged frame and chassis have been trimmed and optimised wherever
possible for beautifully adept handling on tricky berms and high-flying
jumps. Suspension settings have been refined and matched by new steering
damper settings for superb control and traction on even the most punishing
and least predictable surfaces. |

championship-winning CRF450R receives a host of refinements in 2008 sure
to extend its dominance. The 2008 CRF450R has new tapered exhaust head
pipe improves low-end and midrange power. Lighter counterbalancer shaft
and drive gears. New works-type multi-map CDI system uses a transmission
gear-position sensor to provide specific ignition maps for First gear,
Second gear and Third through Fifth and produce the optimum power curve
in each gear. Also, the rev limit of 11,270 rpm has increased 50 rpm. |

Innovative design has made Honda’s dual-muffler CRF250R the winner
of Transworld magazine’s 250cc four-stroke “Motocross Bike
of the Year” for four years in a row.
The brilliant future of motocross arrives in the aggressive form of the
high-flying CRF250R. With improved engine performance and a developed,
mass centralised dual silencer exhaust system contributing to sharper
power delivery and smoother, more responsive handling, the new CRF250R
provides a potent blend of quick-revving, race-bred 4-stroke performance
that dominates the motocross circuit's tight berms and big air jumps with
confident ease.
The CRF's innovative, liquid-cooled 4-valve Unicam engine pumps out a
wide band of useable power with a strong thrust of low-end acceleration
that leaps out of corners. And its rugged, lightweight aluminium frame
and fully optimised suspension systems provide amazing control that smokes
the competition right out of the box. Racing never fails to improve the
breed, and the CRF250R is a thoroughbred performer with the gold to prove
