New World Honda Dirt Ride

What a day!

After many hours of preparation in the months leading up to Sunday the day had come, it was 7.30am and the first of the riders had arrived at Erica eagerly anticipating what was ahead. The cars continued to flow into the car park and before we knew it the riders briefing had begun. After some instruction from Darren our ride leader it was time to tackle what was to be a challenging and testing ride for all entrants. Minutes in we were faced with tight and greasy tracks with the odd hill thrown in for good measure, these conditions were to set the scene for the remainder of the ride. At the half way point the pack was split into two groups and the eager tackled Death Valley whilst the others selected a slightly more scenic tour. The two groups met again and the next 10kms of tree bumping. logs, mud, ruts and hills was to finish off what was to be a memorable ride.
